Introduction to MBTI(R) Workshop

Introduction to Personality Type for Organizations

Facilitated by:

Thomas E. (TED) Boyce, Ph.D.

 Program Description:

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) personality inventory was developed to make the theory of psychological types described by Carl Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior of individuals is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.

The MBTI® has a 50-year history of success and has been taken by millions of people in 70 different countries. It has found wide application in the many aspects of an organization, including team development, conflict resolution, decision making, recognition and rewards, executive coaching and, of course, continuous self-development.  The MBTI® can provide a common platform for understanding within any group situation, allowing communicators to adjust their communications to meet the preferences of their audience.

During this workshop, participants will be: administered the MBTI, provided a practical Introduction to Type Theory, coached to create their best-fit personality type, and taken through a series of exercises that will help them to immediately understand the dynamics of their personality preferences when interacting with those similar and different in preference. By the end of this immersive experience, participants will view themselves and those working in their organizations differently.  The visible result will be improved communication and better working relationships.

Those who administer the MBTI must be credentialed and certified.  And, all are bound to a strict code of ethics guiding the use of psychological instruments.  Dr. Thomas Boyce, the workshop facilitator, is one of the few consultants practicing in organizations today who holds both the MBTI certification and an accredited Ph.D. in psychology.

Gather your colleagues and join Dr. Boyce for an experience you will always remember.
