The science of human behavior has a lot to say about employee motivation. For example, did you know that if you offer a reward for performance regularly at the end of the month you will get a very different pattern of behavior than if you give the same reward for the same performance at different times each month. Given that the reward is of value to the performer, in the former situation, you will see an increase in performance regularly at the end of the month.
